According to Shopee's announcement, the food delivery application Now will officially change its name to ShopeeFood from August 18.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

Now's existing services still operate normally as before, with the\u00a0NowFood service changing its name to ShopeeFood and the NowShip service changing its name to ShopeeExpress Instant.<\/p>\n\n\n

After changing the name, previously granted user rights remain the same, without any changes. However,\u00a0Shopee's Loyalty program is currently only applicable when shopping at Shopee and is not applicable when ordering on the ShopeeFood application.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now's existing services still operate normally as before, with the\u00a0NowFood service changing its name to ShopeeFood and the NowShip service changing its name to ShopeeExpress Instant.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now (formerly known as DeliveryNow) is one of the popular food delivery applications in Vietnam today. This application was launched in 2016 by Foody Joint Stock Company – a startup founded by Mr. Dang Hoang Minh. In 2017, Singapore's Sea Group – Shopee's parent company – acquired 82% of Foody's shares in a deal worth $64 million.<\/p>\n\n\n

Previously, Sea was also an investor who participated in pouring capital into Foody in 2015. The acquisition of Foody helps Sea expand the Airpay payment platform, which has been introduced into the Vietnamese market since 2014.
